OPTIMEAL Kitten Dry Food with chicken is a complete super-premium meal for growing kittens up to 12 months old. Fresh chicken is the number one ingredient, giving your kitten high quality, easy to digest animal protein for fast growth and active play. The balanced ratio of calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D3 builds strong bones and protects the digestive system, while added taurine supports heart and eye health. It also carries an Immunity Support Mix of herbs, berries, prebiotics and natural antioxidants, plus omega-3 and omega-6, zinc and biotin for healthy skin and a shiny coat. Feed dry. Kittens under 4 months eat about 21 to 54 g a day, 4 to 6 months about 43 to 86 g, 6 to 9 months about 57 to 115 g, and 9 to 12 months about 64 to 107 g, split over 2 to 3 small meals. Always keep fresh drinking water in reach. When you switch from another food, mix it in slowly over the first 5 days.

Dehydrated chicken protein (no less than 30%), rice, corn gluten, chicken fat, corn, deboned chicken meat (5%), hydrolyzed animal protein (3.5%), barley, minerals, sugar beet pulp, linseed (1.73%), brewer's yeast, salmon oil, egg powder, cranberry (0.2%), borage oil, beta-1,3/1,6-glucans (0.05%), Actigen prebiotic (source of mannan-oligosaccharides, 0.04%), marigold meal (source of lutein, 0.04%), burdock root, marshmallow root, chamomile flowers (0.03%), nettle (0.03%), thyme (0.015%). Up to what age can I feed this to my cat?

It is made for kittens from weaning up to about 12 months. After that, move your cat to an adult OPTIMEAL formula.

Do I need to soak the kibble for a young kitten?

For very young kittens you can soften a few kibbles with a little warm water at first, then feed it dry as they grow. Keep fresh water next to the bowl.

Does it have taurine for heart and eye health?

Yes. It contains taurine (2520 mg/kg) plus omega-3 and omega-6, which cats need for a healthy heart, eyes, skin and coat.

How much should I give my kitten each day?
